RATIONALE

A one day event with a specific aim of bringing together all those who work together to make our road safer – being aimed at drawing and mixing together all stakeholders who are involved so mutual  understanding and a knowledge of various roles can be appreciated and colaboration can be achieved.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The event of a conference style nature is for any person who is involved in the practice and promotion of road safety in terms of casualty reduction, reducing the risk to road users and making the environment smarter with active travel, reduction in CO2 emissions and innovation in mind.

working in the private, commercial, statutory, non-statutory and voluntary sectors;
who work as community leaders;
involved in education, training, road safety engineering and enforcement
and more speciically involved in the areas of

  • Delivering Traffic, Transport, Roads and other strategies
  • Behavioural Change Activities;
  • Training providers for those learning to drive or engaged in the improvement of driving skills, assessment of drivers and re-training schemes;
  •  engaged in managing fleets, logistics, transport management and managing drivers who are driving for work activity;
  • Road Engineers, Road Planners, Road Safety Auditors;
  • Police, Fire, Ambulance Services, Public and Independent Collision Investigation;
  • Road Safety Officers, Active Travel Officers;
  • Working in Health and Safety, Personnel/Human Resources responsibilities and Wellbeing;
  • There is also a place for members of the public who have a genuine interest in  Safety Transport Traffic Safety and Roads.

Conducted by a series of presentations, interactive sessions and discussions we will explore interventions designed to make our transport traffic safety and road systems work in a more cohesive way.
